Is Job Corps Right for My Child? Job Corps provides youth with an opportunity to develop skills they need to succeed in a promising career. Job Corps is a federally funded program that costs nothing. Students in the program are paid a monthly allowance, and the longer they stay with the program, the higher their allowance becomes. Job Corps provides youth with the chance to learn a trade and get a high school diploma or GED, and offers youth help in getting a job. Job Corps is committed to offering all students a safe, drug-free environment where they can take advantage of the resources provided. If your child or someone you know is interested in joining Job Corps, or if you'd like to find out more about the program, call (800) 733-JOBS or (800) 733-5627. An operator will provide you with general information about the program, refer you to the admissions counselor closest to where you live, and mail you an information packet. Job Corps Information Brochures Note: The following PDF files require Adobe Acrobat Reader to be viewed.
